Jerry: Hello all my global friends. Welcome you all to my blog. I am very glade to see you come to visit my blog. This is my first one. I have never made it. I hope that you come to visit and you will get something useful from it. The name of my blog is “Jerry wants you to know.” It means I want you to know Buddhist monk’s life and Buddhism. Firstly, I want to tell you about myself. My name is Sourng, surname Seam. But you can call me Jerry. Everyone call me Jerry here. Tom and Jerry! I am 23 year old, from Cambodia. I have been in Chiang Mai for two years. Now I am B.A. student of MCU Buddhist University, a sophomore in Humanity, major in English.

My brother has been ordained a few weeks ago. He was a worker and worked very hard to earned money for my family. His name is Samnang, 19. He lost his chance to study when he was in high school but he gets it back.

My sister's name is Pisey. She is 14 years old. She is the youngest doughter in my family. She is so cute.

My former Temple

Here is my former temole where I used to stayed for three years for high school degree. There are about 300 monks in this temple and about 40 monmks in my x-department.It is quite busy for monks here. They get up very early and cook then hsve breakfsat and go to school. They study both in the morning and afternoon. And they also study English part time. There are many small school and cheap somonks can study easily especailly Foriegn Language such as English, Chines, Japanes, Korean, Spanish, Thai and so on. Most of those schools are not standard but they can lear and got knowledge.

Here is my home. That is the new one. Before it is smaller then this. I do not how to describe so picture help me to tell you how my home look like. A stand-still house because the land is flat. There is flood every year. The wall is made of palm leave and bamboo. The roof is .......... I don`t know how to say in English.
There are my mom and my little niece in front, making palm leave for the roof.

Here is my Mom and my two little nieces. My Mom`s name is Seng, elder niece Srey Ra and younger one Srey Rom. My Mom was very happy to see me coming back home. She said she has been looking forward to see me since the mid of Feb. she know I will be back home during this time. My elder niece study in grade 2. She always get up late. She missed me a lot she said. The younger one is naughty but very lovely she is 3 years old and the elder is 8 years old.

My sister Souen and my brother-in-law Cheng are repairing the net for fishing. They raise ducks for eggs. There are 150 ducks. So brother has to fish to feed the ducks. Thy eat a lot. Brother love my sister so much.

Actually I have two more, one younger brother and one younger sister. They work in the city so did not see them yet. You will see them soon.

Matt and Maddy's wedding at Kohsamui

On the late February, Chhunny and I went to join Matt and Maddy's wedding at Kohsamui. That was a great time for me to see something new there. There were people from different places. We met each other there and had wonderful time together. Everyone said" I want to have a wedding like this here on the beach.
The wedding was celebrated a long the beach. It was a Thai traditional wedding. Everyone have party a long the beach.

I met many people there. They are so spacial. I like them a lot, Maddy's family from USA and Philipine and Shiley from Usa. Takashi a very kind man who help me and my friend for quest house. From Chiang Mai are Stev, Teacher Joanne and her Mom. They are very amazing people for me. Two spacial kids who I can not forget are Jason And Matt. They are very cute and clever.

Thanks so much for Matt and Maddy who paid us air ticket both way from Bangkok to Samui. Withou them We have no chance to go there. Thanks to Mr Takashi who help us the place to stay.

Global Warming March

( one of the signs that we made for Global Warming march) We went to join the Global Warming March on the 3th of December 2007 in Chiang Mai city, Thailand. Teacher Joanne has brought a special guest who is skillful in Global Warming Problem. So we came to participate the March together. That was a great time for us. We were so happy
.

Everyone was very happy a long the way. There were many people behind us.

She is my great teacher, Joanne. We bring us to know many things about Global Warming and to join this march.
